Cardholder Terms of Service
The terms that govern your Vault account, Vault Reserve, and virtual cards.
Eligibility
You must be a Canadian resident, 18 or older (19 in BC, NB, NL, NS, YT), and complete identity verification before activating an account.
Vault Reserve
Vault Reserve holds pre-loaded funds you use to fund virtual cards. Reserve funds are held in a segregated trust account with our partner Canadian financial institution and are not deposit-insured by CDIC.
Virtual cards
Cards are issued under our BIN sponsor agreement. Merchant-locked and disposable cards are subject to per-card limits and Sentinel decisioning. Vault may decline, freeze, or discard any card to prevent fraud or comply with law.
Fees
See the current fee schedule inside the app. Loading from Interac e-Transfer and bank pre-authorized debit is free. Debit card loads carry a 0.5% instant-load fee.
Termination
You may close your account at any time; remaining Reserve balance is refunded to a verified Canadian bank account within 5 business days.
